The kite museum at Layang-Layang, not only marks the venue for the annual International Kite Fest but is also a tourist attraction for local and foreign visitors. The museum which was once a windmill, was renovated into a museum and gallery which displays various types of traditional wau, modern wau as well as kites from all over the world. During the festival, colourful kites of various shapes and sizes will dot the skyline during the week-long festival and visitors will be treated to exciting domestic and international contests, demonstrations, and spectacular ground displays that they have ever seen.
