Reflection on Johor Layang-Layang Museum

I find that the Layang-Layang museum is quite interesting as it is filled with kites from all over the world. Some are really big while some are are quite small. The museum was filled with kites of all sizes. In the museum, they also showed a video about kites. I find that the trip there has benefited me because I know more about malaysia culture regarding about kites. I find that knowing about other country's culture is important and we must know them to make the community a better place. This trip will also be an unforgettable experience for me.

The kite museum at Layang-Layang, not only marks the venue for the annual International Kite Fest but is also a tourist attraction for local and foreign visitors. The museum which was once a windmill, was renovated into a museum and gallery which displays various types of traditional wau, modern wau as well as kites from all over the world. During the festival, colourful kites of various shapes and sizes will dot the skyline during the week-long festival and visitors will be treated to exciting domestic and international contests, demonstrations, and spectacular ground displays that they have ever seen.

Research on Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Museum

The Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Museum is a place of interest and a tourist attraction in Johor Bahru. As the museum is the best place to get information about Sultan Abu Bakar and his family, it attracted many tourists. This grand example of Anglo-Malay architecture has an extensive collection of works of art and a display of rare artefacts and treasures collected by and belonging to the Royal family. There is a huge picture gallery, which has pictures and portraits of past as well as present kings and their queens. The huge collection of crystalware, silverware, gold and silver ornaments and beautiful vases and the traditional Malaysian weapons, State Regalia, coin collection and silver trophies in this museum definitely attracted many tourist.

Reflection on Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Museum.

My initial impression of this royal museum was that it was probably another regular museum with many restrictions and could only admire the artefacts at about 1.5 metres apart. However, i was proved wrong when the artefacts, that were hunted by the sultans themselves, in the hunting room all were within touch distance. However, we were still refrained from touching the artefacts.
I also learned about the regal legacies and history of the Johor Sultanate. Royal ceremonies, functions and investitures held in the magnificent chambers reflect the royal family's affluent lifestyle. Stately furnishings fill the reception room, banqueting hall and throne room, while a life-sized taxidermic tiger and rhinoceros reside within the hunting room.
I felt very honoured to be able to visit the royal museum as it was truly an unforgettable and enriching experience that one must have.
