Reflection on Sultan Abu Bakar Royal Museum.

My initial impression of this royal museum was that it was probably another regular museum with many restrictions and could only admire the artefacts at about 1.5 metres apart. However, i was proved wrong when the artefacts, that were hunted by the sultans themselves, in the hunting room all were within touch distance. However, we were still refrained from touching the artefacts.
I also learned about the regal legacies and history of the Johor Sultanate. Royal ceremonies, functions and investitures held in the magnificent chambers reflect the royal family's affluent lifestyle. Stately furnishings fill the reception room, banqueting hall and throne room, while a life-sized taxidermic tiger and rhinoceros reside within the hunting room.
I felt very honoured to be able to visit the royal museum as it was truly an unforgettable and enriching experience that one must have.
