Research on Palm Oil Factory

Palm Oil is a kind of oil that many people use for cooking. The plantation in Malaysia took up 84% of Felda’s plantation landbank. This plantation is originated from Africa. 95% of the fruit is filled with oil and the male and female flowers are at the same tree. Beast normally brings pollen to the female flower and the flowers bear fruit. The plant bears fruit 3 times a month and takes 3 years to harvest.

As for harvesting, they cut the leaves first and check if 5 fruitlet drops from the punch. This shows that the fruit has ripped.

The plantation always face thread like rats or mouse who like this fruit a lot. Fortunately, the owl is a solution to this problem because owl loves to eat rats.

The oil palm need to go through a few processes in order to extract oil from the fruits. The fruits come in a whole punch and one of them is called a fruitlet. These punches of fruits are stacked up. They are then put into cages and sent for steaming and cooking. People use colours to differentiate the grades of palm oil.
